Soft sand under paw, ears flapping in the wind, running at the waves; there is nothing your four-legged friend loves more than a day at the beach. At Wellies & Windbreaks, we know that dogs are part of the family and that it’s heartbreaking to have to leave those sad puppy dog eyes behind when you go on holiday. That’s why we are delighted to be able to offer a selection of pet friendly properties.
All of our pet friendly properties have fully enclosed gardens so you are safe to let your dogs explore. All we ask is that you and your pets respect our holiday homes as you would your own and abide by our pet friendly rules. Pets are not permitted on any soft furnishings or upstairs and we request that you clear up after them in the garden. For information about our pet friendly properties please look at the list below or call Amanda on 07816 281016.
Beach FAQ’s
West Wittering beach is very popular with dog walkers throughout the year although there are restrictions on where dogs can go on the beach between 1st May and 30th September. Dogs are not allowed on the beach at all between groynes numbered 14a to 18, which is the area in front of the line of beach huts. You can walk dogs on a lead through the car park to access East Head, which is dog friendly all year around. Dogs are also free to walk on the rest of the beach but you are requested to keep them on a lead on the stretch in front of Shore Road in East Wittering and again in front of the car park at Bracklesham Bay, where you will find the wonderful restaurant Billy’s on the Beach. There are also plenty of coastal footpaths and countryside walks to be enjoyed in the surrounding area.
