Windward is a unique opportunity to stay in a beach front property right on the white sands of West Wittering beach. This charming five-bedroom property, sleeping 10 guests, has been a much loved family holiday home for generations. New to the Wellies & Windbreaks portfolio in September 2021, the house has been completely redecorated throughout with three new bathrooms and new utility room. The house still retains the charm of a traditional holiday home but is comfortable and sumptuous with beautifully interiors. The location is unbeatable in the much coveted private residential Cakeham Estate. The house enjoys a huge private garden with direct beach access and amazing views from all of the upstairs rooms. Laid out in an upside down style, the sitting / dining room has full width picture windows leading out onto the balcony and outdoor dining area. The sea views are breathtaking. (Please note the fireplace is decorative at present).

Comprising of:

Bedroom 1: King size bed, with en-suite (ground floor)
Bedroom 2: King size bed (ground floor)
Bedroom 3: Twin beds (ground floor)
Bedroom 4: King size bed (first floor)
Bedroom 5: Twin beds (first floor)

Two of the five bedrooms are upstairs and three are downstairs at the entrance level. Upstairs there is a king and a small twin with a family bathroom and separate WC. Downstairs are three further large bedrooms; a king with en-suite, a second king and a twin room. There is also a separate shower room downstairs and large utility room with side door access right next to the outdoor shower, ideal for when you are coming back from the beach.

The kitchen is small but well equipped and is immediately opposite the dining area. The sitting area, located in the same room as the dining table is stylish and comfortable; a wonderful space to either relax in and gaze out to sea or watch some TV or play games with the family.

The garden is big enough for any outdoor family games and as well as the balcony outdoor dining area, there is a covered decked area underneath the upstairs balcony. Windward has parking for at least 4 cars.

Stay at Windward

Excellent position and a lovely living area overlooking the sea. Size of kitchen rather small for the size of the property. Only 1 en suite bathroom for 5 bedrooms. Think to sleep 10 adults would be a bit of a squash.

Witterings Weekends

We had a wonderful weekend in this beautiful house in an incredible location. The house has everything we need for a relaxing time. ( We are a group of friends who love sea swimming, walking, enjoying a glass of something in the huge balcony) The customer service is excellent. Our 3rd year hear and we will definitely be back for more. Thank you to Amanda and Angela.

Equipment shortage

The cutlery is not enough for 10 let alone 3 courses. Every meal they had to wash up in between courses so we had enough to use. There really needs to be a decent sized fridge, we had to bring a large electric cooler for the overflow and use an offsite fridge and freezer. If there was a full size deep freeze in the utility room (space in cupboards) then there could be a full size fridge in the kitchen. It is not possible to have ten people and begin to expect a small fridge and a small deep freeze to be sufficient. Having a tiny kitchen is bad enough but fridge space is essential. Everything else is above and beyond the highest expectations and the level of cleanliness is exceptional. Very comfortable beds and the garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed every minute of being in this lovely house with stunning views over the beach. To open the garden gate and be on the beach makes it spectacular .

Outstanding Location

We absolutely love windward! It’s on the beach perfect for a wintery walk with the opportunity to warm up quickly. It’s the perfect distance to walk to west wittering cafe or to the busier east wittering high street. The views are amazing. Would absolutely recommend windward.

Weekend Break

We had the most wonderful time at Windward, the perfect getaway for a group of friends. The house is stunning, immaculate, and fab position overlooking the beach. Has everything you need. The service from start to finish has been excellent. This is our 2nd at the house and we want to come back again next year.

The best views ever

So clean with all the basics items and washing things. Tiny fridge, tiny kitchen. Lack of saucepans, cutlery and wine cooler. But the beds were wonderful and everything else was of the highest quality. I am definitely rebooking asap.

Amazing location

Amazing property in a stunning location. Comfortably slept two families and a really great dinning/ relaxing space. Kitchen on the small side but it has everything you need. Lovely to be able to walk straight on to the beach and garden would be brilliant in summer. Would recommend and stay again.
